Hypertension usually does not show any symptons.This disease can silently progress to ultimately develop into a stroke or a heart attack. Hence it is often referred to as the “Silent Killer” Hypertension can in fact be present for years and years without any sign if there are no symptoms and one does not undergo blood pressure screening periodically.

However some hypertension patients may experience symptoms like dizziness, headache, breathlessness and blurred vision. A medical emergency like malignant hypertension requires urgent medical treatment to prevent stroke.
